  The Solar Plexus Chakra is the third Chakra. It is located just above your navel, and it resonates with the color yellow. Chakras are the energy centers which exist in your subtle etheric body. This is the energy center associated with self belief, self worth, ego, courage, confidence, and personal power. It is important for this area to be balanced so that we don't experience negative emotional and physical health issues.

Emotional Signs Of A Solar Plexus Chakra Imbalance

   Often in childhood we may experience certain traumas such as physical or mental abuse, abandonment, or wrongful mental programming. We can carry that energy into our adult lives, and it can cause this center to become out of balance. The Solar Plexus Chakra plays an important role in our self confidence and self worth. When this area is out of balance or blocked, we can experience feelings of depression or anxiety, lack of self control, low self esteem, and inability to maintain healthy boundaries. Addiction can also play a role when this Chakra is blocked or unbalanced due to the need to mask or ease these feelings. 

Physical Signs Of A Solar Plexus Imbalance

    When the Solar Plexus Chakra is out of balance, it will almost certainly manifest itself as physical illness eventually in the areas of the body that are governed by it. Some of the physical symptoms may include constipation, irritable bowel problems, reflux problems, Binge eating, addiction, over weight or underweight issues, diabetes, and stomach ulcers  

Balanced Solar Plexus Chakra

  When your Solar Plexus Chakra is in balance, you will have positive self esteem, and the ability to speak your mind without being aggressive. You are able to set healthy boundaries, and have a strong sense of self. With a balanced solar plexus chakra, you are comfortable with your own decisions, and able to trust your "gut" feeling and act with confidence. You are able to have self discipline, and a capacity for self-forgiveness. You are are able to learn lessons from the difficulties of life, and clearly define yourself and your life's purpose 

    There are many crystals and gemstones that help to balance and clear the Solar Plexus Chakra of blockages. Each crystal vibrates with specific frequencies of color and light. Crystals and gemstones can regulate the vibrational rate associated with each Chakra, and bring it into balance. Solar Plexus Chakra crystals resonate with the color yellow.

 CITRINE is often called the Merchant Stone, this stone increases cash flow and teaches us to attract and keep wealth, prosperity, and success by removing negative energy. Citrine is a crystal of happiness and confidence it holds no negative energy and emits large amounts of positive energy It serves as a reminder to be in the now, and encourages you to maintain a positive state of mind to attract everything you want in life.

 PYRITE is a crystal of positive energy and is helpful for negative thoughts fixed on misfortune and despair. It relieves anxiety and frustration, and reveals the cause behind these emotions. Pyrite helps to overcome fears and take action. It increases ones self-confidence. It is an excellent crystal for manifestation, allowing one to draw high-frequency energy into the body and utilizing it to take action in creating abundance. It stimulates creativity and helps one to see their potential.

YELLOW CALCITE helps to increase your vitality and strength. It can give one new hope and sense of optimism to face the future. Yellow Calcite is great for clearing out old energy patterns and self doubt, and increasing motivation. Physically Yellow Calcite benefits the upper intestines, stomach, spine and upper back. It increases energy levels and strength.

 TIGER EYE helps to release fears and anxieties. It is a great stone for giving courage and self confidence, and with helping those who experience lack of self worth. Tiger Eye will help you to accomplish goals because it enhances focus and creativity. Physically Tiger Eye increases vitality and strength, and boosts the endocrine system. It also helps with asthma, high blood pressure, depression and seasonal effective disorder.

 Meditation is a great and effective way to balance and clear your Chakras. Below is a meditation I like to do when my Solar Plexus Chakra feels out of balance.  

1. Hold your crystals in your left hand while sitting, or place them on your body above the naval while lying down. 

2. Take a deep breath in and imagine a white light coming into the top of your head, and filling your body

3. When you breathe out imagine a dark cloud of smog releasing any negative energy and stress.

4. Imagine a yellow circular ball of light below your naval spinning clockwise. Every time you breathe in imagine this yellow light getting bigger and brighter. When you breathe out imagine all of the blockages and negative energy leaving through your mouth in a grey or black smog.

5. Repeat out loud or in your head "I am confident. I am worthy. I have the courage to conquer" 

5. Repeat this for 5-30 minutes.

  When this center is clear, you will feel lighter and confident. This meditation helps to build self worth, and with seeing your true potential, while giving you the courage to manifest your goals. You may need to repeat this meditation multiple times, or whenever you are feeling any of the negative emotions listed above. It is recommended that you make it a practice to clear your chakras regularly in order to maintain balance.
